CCPS conducted a Training program on 8th Nov. 2019 at Noida Institute of Engineering & Technology, Knowledge Park-II, Greater Noida.

Mr. Tushar Topaz from AIS Glass Solutions spoke about basics of glass and fire rated glasses. Mr. Gopal Kumar presented on Modern trends in usage of PU Foam and sealants, wherein they talked about various applications and shared case studies also.

Training program was attended 65 civil engineering students and Professors of NIET. Students took keen interest in the training sessions which was evident from their queries.

Two Days Training Program on “NBC 2016 and Glass & Glazing System in Buildings” on 17th – 18th July, 2017


To acquaint and update engineers, architects and professionals particularly from Govt. sector about the requirements for ensuring appropriate and safe use of glass in buildings as per the Section and Clauses included for the first time, in the recently revised National Building Code 2016 (Part 4 FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY Clause 3.4.10 Glazing pg 25-26 and Part 6 STRUCTURAL DESIGN Section 8 GLASS AND GLAZING pg 1-79) , IBC in collaboration with Confederation of Construction Products and Services (CCPS) organized Two days Training Programme on “NBC 2016 and Glass & Glazing System in Buildings” on 17 and 18 July 2017 at IBC, HQ, R. K. Puram, New Delhi. This was the eleventh training program CCPS organized with IBC on various topics and fourth one on Glass & Glazing System.

The program was inaugurated by Mr. Sanjay Pant, HoD, CED, BIS on 17th July 2017 in presence of Sh. D. S. Sachdev former DG CPWD, Sh. P. S. Chadha former ADG CPWD, Sh. R N Dandekar former ADG CPWD, Sh. Ashim Chugh President CCPS, Sh. Deepak Gahlowt Convener CCPS, Sh. G P Sharma former Chief Engineer PWD Rajasthan, and certificates distributed by Brig. Girish Joshi, DDGW (Design), MES along with . D. S. Sachdev former DG CPWD and Sh. Shashi Kant Adviser CCPS at the Valedictory Session on 18th July 2017.

The programme was participated at Inaugural, Academic and Valedictory sessions by 44 senior officers and dignitaries from, Military Engineering Services, Central PWD, Bureau of Indian Standards, PWD Delhi Govt., PWD Gwalior MP, North Municipal Corporation of Delhi, PWD Rajasthan, MMRDA Mumbai, Schueco India, Dhruv Consultancy, Samrat Ashok Technology Institute Vidisha, M. Tile Master Training Program” at IBC HQ, R. K. Puram, New Delhi on 9th May 2017


Tile Master Training Program” organized by Confederation of Construction Products and Services (CCPS) and Indian Buildings Congress and at IBC, HQ, New Delhi on 9th May, 2017 supported by Somany Ceramics.

Inaugural and Training sessions were attended by 31 participants which include 11 from MES, 7 from CPWD, one each from East MCD & RITES, 6 students from Amity University, Rajasthan PWD, IBC and CCPS. Shri S.K. Raina Asstt. General Manager and Shri Satyendra Gautam, Asstt. Vice President, Somany Ceramics Ltd. were the faculty members. Program covered various types oftiles, art and technique of tile laying with advanced construction tools to bring a tangible improvement in quality of tile work, highlighted benefits like reduction in wastage, assuring clean, noise and dust free environment and dependence on power, resulting in increased productivity by about 15-25%. Practical demonstration was also done to display use of advanced tool - kit, hole cutting, laying of floor/wall tiles, use of adhesives and grouts.

The program was started with the presentation by Shri D.S. Sachdev, Director, Executive Training, IBC and former DG, CPWD followed by address by Sh. Shashi Kant, Advisor, CCPS and former Dy. Advisor, Planning Commission, he informed that ‘Tile Master Programme is very much in demand amongst the Engineers and this is the fourth programme CCPS has organized in collaboration with IBC at IBC, Head Quarter, New Delhi out of total ten programmes on various subjects. Sh. G. P. Sharma, Chairman. IBC Jaipur Centre and former Chief Engineer, Rajasthan PWD also graced the event. Sh. P. S. Chadha, Consultant IBC and former ADG, CPWD invited participants to become IBC members and get benefited with the activities of IBC.

The Training Programme was appreciated by all the participants who were benefitted by technical presentations on the use of appropriate tools, tile adhesives & grouts etc and the best practices demonstrated in tile laying.

Executive Training Program on “Architectural Hardware in Building Industry - Latest Trends” organized by Confederation of Construction Products and Services (CCPS) in collaboration with Indian Buildings Congress on 11 August, 2016 at IBC Head Quarters, R. K. Puram, New Delhi.

The program was attended by 39 delegates and dignitaries, which included invitees from IBC, 10 senior officers from Military Engineering Service (MES) came from Kolkota, Shillong, Gandhi Nagar, Bareily, Jaipur, Udhampur and Delhi, 5 from Central PWD, 6 from Delhi PWD and 2 from New Delhi Municipal Committee (NDMC)

Tile Master Training Program” on 29th June 2016


Tile Master Training Program” organized by Confederation of Construction Products and Services (CCPS) and Indian Buildings Congress at IBC, HQ, New Delhi on 29th June 2016. 17 participants from MES, DG Map, Indian Railways, Delhi PWD and RITES came from Kolkota, Jaipur, Udhampur, Mathura, Barrackpore WB, Locknow, Chalthan Gujarat, Saugor MP, Kota Rajasthan and Delhi attended the training program.

Participants appreciated the topics covered by the faculty in detail, including demonstration of manual tile cutting, laying, hole cutting, use of adhesives, grouts etc.

Training program on “Use of Glass & Glazing System in Buildings” on 23-24 February 2016


Two days Training Program “On Use of Glass & Glazing Systems in Buildings” was organized by Confederation of Construction Products and services (CCPS) in collaboration with Indian Buildings Congress at New Delhi on 23rd and 24th February 2016. The program was participated by 47 senior officers from Military Engineering Services, Delhi Development Authority, PWD Delhi Govt., Airport Authority, Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation, Western Railway, Amity University and consultants & professionals from industry.

Keeping in view the spectacular rise in use of glass in all types of buildings, due to persistent demand, this was the third program organized by CCPS on the subject and proved to be very successful. The participants were exposed to the various types of glasses, manufacturing process, properties, fire/human safety, energy conservation, Wind, Seismic and facade design requirements, ECBC, GRIHA & IGBC parameters and codal provisions, smoke exhaust and motorized solutions etc along with associated materials like hardware, Silicone and Sealants.

The Training Program was started on 23 Feb. 2016 with a Key Note address by Mr. Deepak Gahlowt, Convener, CCPS and introductory remarks and overview by Mr. D. S. Sachdev, Former Director General, CPWD. Various topics on Glass and Glazing system were covered in 11 sessions on both the days by the industry experts and professionals which includes Mr. Jaskirat Singh, Saint Gobain India Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Sourabh Kankar, Gujarat Guardian Ltd.; Mr. Hatinder Vohra, Saint Gobain India Pvt. Training program on “Selection and Use of Glass in Buildings” on 27 February 2016 at Ambassador Hotel, New Delhi


This course was designed and conducted by Mr. Deepak Gahlowt, Architect Director, Xebec Project Management Services, along with others from the building industry and has been attended and appreciated by nearly 1500 construction professionals all over India till date. This program was conducted in association with Confederation of Construction Products and Services, a not-for-profit body working in the field of construction standards.

Today there are wide ranges of glasses, each with specific properties that are available in India. However, even as glass use is increasing in buildings, there are issues that remain to be resolved, particularly in the area of heat and sound transmission, and protection of contents of buildings and occupants from theft or hurt from breakage of glass.

This training course covered the basics of glass selection in relation to

  • Heat Control
  • Acoustics
  • Thermal Breakage
  • Safety against impact & fire and security
  • Quality parameters for insulated, laminated and other processed glasses.

ARCHOTSAV 2015


CCPS supported and participated in ARCHOTSAV 2015 organized from Oct. 30 – Nov. 1, 2015 at Sunderdeep Group of Institutions, Dasna, Ghaziabad. A full day “DAY LIGHT & GLASS WORKSHOP” was organized which was attended by more than 150 architectural students from various colleges. As a whole ARCHOTSAV could be termed as good initiative to get students acquainted with the latest know how and technologies. More than 2500 students and faculty members attended be ARCHOTSAV. Mr. Deepak Gahlowt and Mr. Shashi Kant successfully conducted two Technical Sessions as Chairman and Co-chairman on 9th December 2015.

Over 1600 delegates participated in three days event from 9 to 11 December 2015 which included over 150 Mayors & Chairpersons, Secretaries from 24 states, 40 Municipal Commissioners, over 500 municipal Counselors from Rajasthan, large number of exhibitors, manufacturers, professionals, and delegates from seven countries and 300 cities.

CCPS in association with AIGMF organized “Conference on “Use of Glass in Buildings – Façade of the Future; and need for Regulations relating to Human Impact, Fire Safety & Energy” co-located with Glasspex India 2015 at Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre, Goregoan (E), Mumbai on 13 - 14 March 2015 organized by AIGMF and CCPS. The Conference was inaugurated by Mr. Sunil H Nesarikar, Chief Fire Officer, Mumbai Fire Brigade, Mr. Kamal Preet Singh, Special DG,CPWD (Western Zone) was the Guest of Honour and presided over by Mr. Sanjay Ganjoo President AIGMF.

The Conference was attended by about 120 delegates during 13 and 14 March, which included senior offices from Central PWD, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Mumbai Fire Brigade, Glass manufacturers, Façade consultants, Processers, Consultants and Professionals, Engineers, Fire Engineers, Glass related companies and many dignitaries from the industry. Three sessions titled Glass Scenario in India, Façade: Future, Emerging Directions & Challenges and Modern Façade-Regulations and Standards covering following 15 subjects which were presented by eminent speakers from Govt. of India, Mumbai Fire Brigade, Consultants, Architects, Academicians and Industry experts)

Mr. Deepak Gahlowt and Mr. Shashi Kant attended CAPEx 2014 co-located with Municipalika and International Conference and Exhibition on Sustainable Built Environment and Good Urclass="Pragrap" ban Governancefrom 13th to 15th November 2014 at Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The event was supported by Ministry of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation GOI, Govt. of Gujarat and other urban stakeholder institutions. As the leading umbrella institution dealing with the construction sector, CCPS was invited to participate in the event as Institutional Sponsor. We have requested all our members to participate in the event.

The Event was inaugurated by Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Minister UD, Housing, Poverty Alleviation, GOI, Ms. Anandiben Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt. of Gujarat was Chief Guest, State Minister of Housing GoG and Executive Director UNCHS graced the function. Two days Training program on “Use of Glass & Glazing System in Buildings” was organized by CCPS and CCPS members on 23rd & 24th September, 2014 at IBC, Sector IV, R. K.
